Welcome to the Quiet Room (“Quiet room ni yôkoso” – クワイエットルームにようこそ) is a Japanese movie released in 2007 in Japan, directed by Suzuki Matsuo. It is set in a psychiatric hospital. The movie stars Yuki Uchida in the main role, and features two famous movie and anime directors in secondary roles: Hideaki Anno and Shinya Tsukamoto.

Synopsis: 28 years old freelencer writer Sakura Asuka (Yuki Uchida) wakes up tied in a white room. The white room is a protected room located in an isolated ward of a psychiatric hospital. Sakura first became unconscious because of heavy alcohol use and a druge overdose. She’s confined in the single room because of her high risk of committing suicide.
Sakura tried to talk to the nurses and doctors but they didn’t listen to her. Under the circumstances another patient Miki (Yu Aoi), who suffers from an eating disorder, leads her to understand the unknown world. But, Sakura is looking for the way to get back to the real world as soon as possible.

An excellent fighting game with 23 characters from visual novels by Tactics and Key (Moon, One, Kanon, and Air). Every character is unique, to the point where individual characters even dash differently. Many characters have unique mechanics attached to them. For example, Mizuka Nagamori can create notes and detonate them. Mishio Amano has two different movesets, depending on whether her spear is imbued with Fire or Lightning. This variety in movesets is quite refreshing, and I highly recommend this game to any fighting game enthusiasts.

Personal Comments: I loved this game before I even knew about Key. Every character was unique and interesting to use. Now that I've played through One and Kanon, I appreciate this game even more than before. This is my second all-time favorite fighting game (after Scarlet Weather Rhapsody).

3. Actor Cho Seung-Woo was unavailable during the movie's promotional events due to his mandatory 2 year enrollment in the South Korean military.
4. "The Sword With No Name" opened #2 at the South Korean box office selling 192,907 tickets on 510 screens (24.7% of all ticket sales) during its opening September 25th - September 27th weekend.

Makoto Konno a girl attending high school in Tokyo realises she has the power to go back in time and re-do things (called a "time-leap") when she impossibly avoids a fatal accident at a train crossing one day.

Bewildered, she consults with her aunt At first, Makoto uses her power extravagantly to avoid being tardy and to get perfect grades on tests, and even relive a single karaoke session for about ten hours. However, things begin to turn bad as she discovers how her actions can adversely affect others. Makoto ends up using up more of her leaps to recklessly prevent undesirable situations from happening, including an awkward confession of love from her best friend Chiaki Mamiya . Eventually she discovers a numbered tattoo on her arm which counts down with each leap. She determines that the tattoo indicates that she can only leap through time a limited number of times. With only a few time leaps left, she attempts to make things right for everyone, but impulsively uses her final leap to prevent a phone call from Chiaki asking if she knows about time-leaping.

As a result, she is unable to prevent her friend Kōsuke Tsuda and his girlfriend from being killed in the accident at the train crossing that Makoto was originally involved in. Devastated, time suddenly stops.

In Thrace, Arion is taken from his mother Demeter by the god Hades. In the Underworld, Arion is trained to be a warrior. His training is driven by revenge: Arion was told that his mother’s blindness was caused by Zeus and Zeus’ death will remove the curse. Finally, Arion and Geedo (a huge ape-like creature who had become Arion’s friend and companion) left the Underworld to find Zeus. Seneca, a small thief, makes off with Arion’s sword and this leads Arion to his first encounter with the forces of Zeus, commanded by his daughter Athena. Arion is captured but is later set free by Lesfeena, Athena’s mute serving girl. As Arion rejoins Geedo and Seneca (and worries about Lesfeena), the forces of Zeus and Poseidon face each other in battle. In the background sits the scheming Hades, and the calm Apollon who seems to have plans of his own.

This 60 minute OVA is based on the classic 1976 shoujo manga by Takemiya Keiko, the author of “Kaze to Ki no Uta”, and was one of the first shoujo titles to include shounen ai elements.

There's not a lot else to say about the book itself other than it is written in English with translations in Japanese script that is oriented mainly around Hiragana and less around the Kanji.

Plot Summary:

Candy Candy originated from a shojo manga by Kyoko Mizuki and Yumiko Igarashi published in 1974. It was soon be picked up for television as anime, which runs up to 115 episodes (not to mention several ovas/movies). The manga itself continued until 1982 (8 years in total -- not the longest running manga, but it's very close).

Candy Candy movie summarized the classical TV series but with different ending and conclusion (happy ending). There are many important scenes and moments from TV series that got deleted. Also a very sloppy and quick characters introduction were used in this movie, which will confuse a lot of people who have not watch the TV series nor read the manga yet.

Japan is under attack. A group of violent terrorists, known as the Red May, have launched a wave of bombings and murder across Tokyo, threatening the stability of the entire country. In response, the government calls in the Special Security Force (SSF), an elite law enforcement division with the authorization to use any methods necessary to protect public safety.
As the Red May continue their assault the SSF unleash their deadliest weapon: Angel, a woman whose beauty is matched only by her skills in combat. But Angel soon learns that the situation is far more complex and dangerous than she first thought. Debutante Detective Corps begins with introductions to the five main characters, Miyuki, Reika, Youko, Nina, and Kimiko. It seems these five girls are incredibly rich and have been sent a threatening video tape by forces unknown. A police guard is set up at the school where the girls have enrolled. Kimiko, however, doesn’t like the idea of being cooped up at school, and convinces the rest of the girls to trick the police into leaving. No sooner are the police gone, however, then the girls are assaulted by three armed terrorists. What ensues is a rather silly escapade with our heroines attempting to thwart their attackers.

One of the better films from 2007 would be Takashi Miike’s “Crows: Episode 0″ and the sequel, “Crows Zero 2,” is getting closer to its release date – April 11, 2009 to be exact. “Crows: Episode 0″ offered an insane amount of action (fights! fights! fights!) mixed in with Miike’s distinctive eye for blending the manga world into the cinema world.

The sequel to Takashi Miike’s Crows Zero live-action film adaptation of Hiroshi Takahashi’s Crows manga has been green-lit. Shun Oguri will reprise his role of high school delinquent Genji in the tentatively titled Crows Zero 2, and has begun training for the July start of principal photography. The story will take place eight months after the first film as Genji faces graduation.

Fans of the original film will also be happy to hear that most of the original cast members will be coming back in “Crows Zero 2″ as well. From Shun Oguri to Takayuki Yamada to Meisa Kuroki to Haruma Miura and on and on are all returning to reprise their respective roles. The report on the official site the is that conditions are hot but the cast has plenty of willpower and filming is progressing at a good speed.

The first film opened at #1 in Japan on October 27, and it eventually earned 2.5 billion yen (about US$25 million). Producer Mataichiro Yamamoto hopes that the second film will earn 3.5 billion (US$35 million).

The plot for Tenshi no Tamago is not something that can easily be related in words. The film is largely about the presentation more than action, and understatement instead of open revelation. Existentialism abounds, heightened by the moody artwork and the dialogue, which asks more questions than it answers. Bear in mind, however, that the conflict in the plotline primarily occurs in the audience’s mind, not in any sequence of actions in the film, spurred by speculation arising from one jarring impression after another. There are only two primary characters in Tenshi no Tamago: a young girl who bears an egg and a man who holds a strange cross. The audience is left to speculate as to the identities and true personalities of these two images which act in this disturbing world. Indeed, much of their dialogue involves the question “dare ka” (who are you). For such an existential film, however, this is perfect, as any open declaration of their thoughts, instead of such questions and mysterious actions, would ruin the mystery of the film.

Synopsis

Losing her mother at a young age, Misaki Yoko (Ueto Aya) was raised amongst three brothers. Yoko is a slightly boyish girl who is bullheaded and hates dishonesty.
