Synopsis: Kyoichi Suzuki is an average college student in his junior year. Although he’s not in one of the top universities, he’s satisfied with his college life studying architecture. Kyoichi left home and is finally on his own, living in a beat-up apartment in Tokyo.


However, this apartment building is home to some out-of-the-ordinary residents, who are always bugging Kyoichi. His next-door neighbor hits Kyoichi up for a loan when he finds out that Kyoichi just got paid. His other next- door neighbor who works at a nightclub, always calls Kyoichi, demanding him to come pick her up, because she’s so drunk. Other than that, Kyoichi is satisfied with his normal life, until he meets a girl one day…

Welcome to the Quiet Room (“Quiet room ni yôkoso” – クワイエットルームにようこそ) is a Japanese movie released in 2007 in Japan, directed by Suzuki Matsuo. It is set in a psychiatric hospital. The movie stars Yuki Uchida in the main role, and features two famous movie and anime directors in secondary roles: Hideaki Anno and Shinya Tsukamoto.

Synopsis: 28 years old freelencer writer Sakura Asuka (Yuki Uchida) wakes up tied in a white room. The white room is a protected room located in an isolated ward of a psychiatric hospital. Sakura first became unconscious because of heavy alcohol use and a druge overdose. She’s confined in the single room because of her high risk of committing suicide.
Sakura tried to talk to the nurses and doctors but they didn’t listen to her. Under the circumstances another patient Miki (Yu Aoi), who suffers from an eating disorder, leads her to understand the unknown world. But, Sakura is looking for the way to get back to the real world as soon as possible.

SYNOPSIS:
Mu Myeong (Cho Seung-Woo) is a Joseon dynasty headhunter who meets and falls in love with lady Ja Yeong (Su-Ae) who will become the future Empress Myseongseong. 1. "The Sword With No Name" is based on the real historical figure Empress Myseongseong, but her relationship with Mu Myeong is fictional.
2. Mu Myeong means literally "no name" or "no light" in Korean. The fictional character named "Mu Myeong" played by Cho Seung-Woo is an assassin without a name.
3. Actor Cho Seung-Woo was unavailable during the movie's promotional events due to his mandatory 2 year enrollment in the South Korean military.
4. "The Sword With No Name" opened #2 at the South Korean box office selling 192,907 tickets on 510 screens (24.7% of all ticket sales) during its opening September 25th - September 27th weekend.
5. Through its theatrical run "The Sword With No Name" sold a total of 1,681,638 tickets and stayed in the weekend top ten for 5 consecutive weeks.

Crows ZERO II (クローズ ZERO 2)

Summary :
One of the better films from 2007 would be Takashi Miike’s “Crows: Episode 0″ and the sequel, “Crows Zero 2,” is getting closer to its release date – April 11, 2009 to be exact. “Crows: Episode 0″ offered an insane amount of action (fights! fights! fights!) mixed in with Miike’s distinctive eye for blending the manga world into the cinema world.


The sequel to Takashi Miike’s Crows Zero live-action film adaptation of Hiroshi Takahashi’s Crows manga has been green-lit. Shun Oguri will reprise his role of high school delinquent Genji in the tentatively titled Crows Zero 2, and has begun training for the July start of principal photography. The story will take place eight months after the first film as Genji faces graduation.

Fans of the original film will also be happy to hear that most of the original cast members will be coming back in “Crows Zero 2″ as well. From Shun Oguri to Takayuki Yamada to Meisa Kuroki to Haruma Miura and on and on are all returning to reprise their respective roles. The report on the official site the is that conditions are hot but the cast has plenty of willpower and filming is progressing at a good speed.

The first film opened at #1 in Japan on October 27, and it eventually earned 2.5 billion yen (about US$25 million). Producer Mataichiro Yamamoto hopes that the second film will earn 3.5 billion (US$35 million).

Crows ZERO(クローズZERO)

Synopsis: Genji Takaya (Shun Oguri) is a teenage troublemaker whose father, Hideo (Goro Kishitani), is a high-ranking member of the yakuza.

Genji is a new student at Suzuran Boys’ High, a educational facility for juvenile delinquents nicknamed “The School for Crows,” and he’s determined to make a name for himself as someone who doesn’t back down from a challenge in order to impress both his father and his new classmates.
Not long after arriving on campus, Genji comes to blows with Ken Katagiri (Kyosuke Yabe), who thinks at first that the new kid is someone else. Genji beats Ken into submission and wins his grudging respect, but when word gets out about the fight, Genji finds every tough guy in the school is waiting for his turn to show Genji who’s boss, with the leader of the school underground empire, Tamao Serizawa (Takayuki Yamada), waiting at the end of the line.

Blue Spring: Aoi Haru(青い春)

Synopsis: Ryuhei Matsuda plays Kujo, a senior year student at an all-boys high school. After winning a game in which the students lean over the edge of their school rooftop and see how many times they can clap their hands before either grabbing the railing or falling to their deaths, Kujo becomes the leader of gang of students.

Kujo doesn’t bother with the rules that the group has set up though, and initially he doesn’t seem too concerned with being the boss much at all. As time goes on though, he begins to take his role a little more seriously than he did, and starts doling out punishment to those who don’t respect his authority. When his friend and right hand man Aoki begins vying for Kujo’s position though, we learn that he doesn’t like to be walked on and that he might be more interested in things than he originally lets on.

Switching - Goodbye Me ( Shaberedomo shaberedomo 2007)

Summary :
A self-remake of multi-award winning 1982 film by director Oobayashi Nobuhiko, "Tenkousei" is about two junior high student switching body.

Comments :
With the comedy genre offering so little in the way of entertainment lately, it is refreshing to see a film that re-afirms that comedy can be funny without insulting one's intelligence. TALK, TALK, TALK is such a film, offering strong performances, good characterisations, and witty dialogue, making for good-hearted viewing that doesn't overly manipulate or simplify.
Director Hideyuki Hirayama, who has helmed a variety of films from the enjoyable remake SAMURAI Resurrection, the excellent TURN, to the flat and disappointing LADY JOKER, puts character and dialogue front and centre, something a lot of modern film-makers fail to do nowadays.
Taichi Kokubun is fine as the rakugoka-in-training, Karina is wonderful as the sour-faced Satsuki, Yataka Matsushige is perfectly awkward as ex-baseball pinch hitter Yugawara, and Yuuki Morinaga is terrificly natural as the young Murabayashi.
With a story that could have been routine and predictable, TALK, TALK, TALK proves to be anything but, showing that you can have a good time without sacrificing quality.
