Meet Bolt Crank, mercenary extraordinaire, and the man who eats metal! Through his travels, he stops along the way to make a few bucks and occasionally rescue damsels in distress. His taste for metal gives him quite an edge as he becomes capable of generating an assortment of weapons from his hand! It's a strange ability, but it seems to come in handy, so to speak. Pandy and Retro, two unlikely renegades, awaken naked on Earth with no recollection of their past. After embarking on a devastating crime spree for food, clothing and transportation in downtown Tokyo, they are captured by authorities and sent to the infamous lunar prison called Dead Leaves.

After a brief incarceration, they discover that the prison is really a top-secret cloning facility, occupied by villainous prison guards and deformed genetic experiments. High-speed frantic action combined with hyper-violent and semi-humorous chase scenes follow as the two decide to break out of the prison with the aid of their fellow mutant inmates.

This series is set about two months after the events ocurred in the Tuatha de Danaan at the end of the original series. Mithril becomes aware of a secret organization that has technology able to counter the ECS (Electronic Cloaking System) mode. This organization, known as Amalgam, also has "Black Technology", obtained from "Whispered" like Kaname Chidori, and like the other intelligency agencies, they intend to obtain more. However, when Sousuke's mission to protect Chidori is terminated by Mithril, all seems to be in place for Amalgam's plans... Sometime in the distant future, Humanity has managed to survive, but only in isolated cities and through the use of cloning and robotic servants called ‘autoraves’. The year is 20XX. Under a Maintenance of Public Order Act, carrying firearms has been permitted to a restricted few.

Japan is under attack. A group of violent terrorists, known as the Red May, have launched a wave of bombings and murder across Tokyo, threatening the stability of the entire country. Torn apart by its long, brutal war with the Republic of Frost, the Royal Empire can finally begin to rebuild. Faced with famine, plague, renegade soldiers, and corruption within its own government, the Empire is hard pressed to soothe its people and heal its wounds.

For this purpose, the Imperial State Section III has been formed for the purpose of war relief. Named 'Pumpkin Scissors' by its 2nd Lieutenant, the noblewoman Alice L. Malvin, the unit is considered a joke and criticized as a farce of the Empire's to quell its peoples' complaints and squander funds.

Regardless of its reputation as a 'carefree' branch with its misfit members, the members of Pumpkin Scissors diligently work to relieve the war damage suffered by the people and root out the corruption that's taken hold, and truly be the 'war relief' they were meant to.

During a mission three years after the unit was founded, Pumpkin Scissors stumble across a mysterious war veteran, Randel Oland, who joins them, entranced with the concept of 'war relief'. It doesn't take long for other members of S.S. III to notice his peculiar blue lantern and heavy gun, and that the unit he says he belonged to in the war...doesn't exist.

It's 2131 A.D.. Deunan Knute had been a soldier in the battlefields for most of her life. When the World War ends, she's transported to the city of Olympus to live peacefully and finds out that, in an effort to protect the human race from future wars, humans have created the Bioriods, a geneticaly enhanced race of people that have restrained feelings and therefore cannot hurt each other.

She discovers, however, that not everyone is happy with this Human-Bioriod symbiosis: many humans treat Bioriods as a lower species and a threat to their future, the human-controlled Military is seeking annihilation of all Bioriods and the Bioriod-controlled government is afraid of a coup d' etat.

The task falls on Deunan to bring peace to the world again. In this she's aided by her former lover, Briareos, who has lost his body in war and has become a cyborg: a brain in an artificial body.
